....And the carbon residue inside the baffles is NORMAL for a Prowler with 32K miles. The baffles rarely get hot enough to completely burn off the carbon exhaust that reaches that far away from the engine. Looks great to me. [/B] My point was the seller's description..made a big deal about "needs nothing"... if I'm going to sell...i'm going to fix the obvious.. I've heard that you like to sit in your car after a nice southern meal of possum grits and baked beans and try to rip off cosecutive triple flutter blasts... I'd suggest you put a plastic bag on your seat in case of the dreaded "Wet One"... This message has been edited by mslc10 on 11-29-2017 at 08:05 PM He states that it has always being stored indoors. Indoors in what? Darn....I have never seen a Prowler that has being indoors look this bad. SK at least u and others can see my point (and that was my only point)...even with crappy chrome plating...would take alot more than indoor storage to get that way which means PROBABLY the other NON ALUMINUM parts are SALTY as well...I dont misadvertise my stuff...And yes Ive seen enuff of BJP"S posts to know where he's going....but not with me.... 401 I got your point right away. The rust on that cooler cover is the type you'd see on a daily driver. Exhaust tips as well. If it was stored in garage probably a very leaky, wet one. Most Prowler owners are detailers and would never let it get like that.401KAT Take a look at this mulholland ad ...twice he swears car needs nothing...check out the rear shot of the tranny cooler...Imagine what rest of the non-aluminum looks like...ouch.....jim

It says older collector, so might have been hard for them to get on ground to clean things. For cooler cover to rust like that, most likely driven in rain or snow or not always garaged. Would be better to just take it off at this point. bjprowler The transmission cooler cover is NOT original equipment and the fact that it is rusty just simply shows that the chrome plating on the after market COOLER COVER is not of good quality......JEEZE! 401KAT quote:

Bet u there's a 100 of me to 1 of you that's NOT a buyer after those pics...considering the known problems of paint and chrome (wheels)on these cars..
I'm not ragging the car just hard to sell with that presentation IMO....We will see...jimenzvoy engine compartment don't look that good either StingRay Its a trans cooler cover that has rusted. Ditch that and the cooler likely looks good. TucsonJer Might be a flood victim. Looks like rust underneath. I’d be very leary. bjprowler And how do we know for sure if someone might have farted while sitting in the car?????....CAUTION! CAUTION! CAUTION!
BTW.....The trans cooler cover is used to PROTECT the cooler AS WELL AS to enhance it's looks.....The fins on the cooler are very easily bent from rocks and other debris on the highway....Ask someone who has had to replace one...They'll tell you that they'd rather have had a "rusty" cover than a damaged cooler ANY DAY.silverkat [QUOTE]Originally posted by bjprowler:
